I’ve sacrificed what I have to be able to live the way that I am. I want to say I left no stone unturned and that I am surrounded by people who enrich my life in a positive way by helping each other work towards each other’s goals.
1. Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Jenae Kaiser. I am from Orange County, CA, but currently live in Santa Barbara. I am 22 years old, but truly believe I have an old soul. I work at an Orthognathic Surgery office, but my ultimate goal is to be a personal trainer, online coach and fitness model. My heart resides in the fitness industry and I know that is my passion. I am going to be a trainer at a new gym, TurboFit, opening in Carpentaria, CA. I plan on building my clientele there, as well as starting my online coaching business. My own journey started when I was in high school.
2. How did you get started on your current fitness journey?
I struggled with eating disorders for a long time. The physical effects were bad, but the mental and emotional effects were worse. I broke the eating disorders, but I was left with emotional scars. When I was 20 years old, I was living a life I thought was great; drinking, eating unreal amounts, not working out and really living an unhealthy lifestyle. I didn’t feel happy and I knew something had to change. I ended up weighing the highest I’ve ever weighed, which was enough motivation to get myself to a gym. I was your typical cardio bunny. Until, one day, a trainer showed me a weighted leg workout. I fell in love with lifting and the rest is history. I’ve done one bikini competition since then, lost over 25lbs, grown my social media following, done multiple photoshoots, and started my personal training certification.
3. What’s one goal you’re currently training for?
My goals that I am working towards right now include fitness modeling, personal training and online coaching.
4. What’s one life goal you’re currently pursuing outside of fitness?
Outside of fitness, I am striving to save money and pay off debt, grow my relationship with my boyfriend, as well as my friends and work on balancing everything in my life. I am blessed to have all the wonderful opportunities that I do and want to be able to evenly spread myself throughout them all.
5. What does it mean to you to Compete Every Day?
Competing every day means to live every day like it’s your last chance to reach your goals; hit that new PR, lose that extra 5lbs, run one more mile, etc. Whatever it may be, be BETTER than you were the day before.
6. What/who do you compete for?
I compete against myself and for myself. You only need to be the best version of yourself. We only get one shot in this life, don’t spend it trying to be like someone else. You are beautiful. You are unique. You have a purpose. I found that purpose and I will spend every day making sure I am doing what I am called to do.
