Compete every day means to get up and kick the day in the face. We are not meant to just get by but to work towards what we want that makes us happy and feel alive.
1. Tell us a little about yourself. Who you are. Where you’re from. What you do for a living. etc..
My name is Priscilla Esquivel and I am from Fort Worth, Texas but currently live in Dallas. I have an amazing dog named Walter and the love of my life Bryan. I work as a Sales Representative and Educator for SFH. SFH/ Stronger Faster Healthier is a all natural sports nutrition and wellness company founded in science. You can find me at the gyms sampling out product and educating members. I’m also a member of the Compete Every Day events team so I might have even met you at an event somewhere around the US!
2. What’s a typical day look like for you?
Typical day starts off by walking my dog Walter followed by sending and checking emails. On days I have tastings I will work from a coffee shop then head to the gym 30min prior to the classes starting to mix up product and get acquainted with the athletes that are warming up. I talk with the class before and after about the samples they are tasting that day. Then I will jump into the last class to get a workout in, pack up and head home for the night.
3. What’s one goal you’re currently training to accomplish by December 31, 2017?
Not going to lie… I’m training to get abs and be the healthiest I can be through good nutrition and training. I’ve always struggled with my midline and with all Crossfit movements they require great core strength. Core Strength here I come!
4. What’s one life goal you’re currently pursuing outside of fitness?
One of my life goals for this year was to get out of the office I had been working in an office for about 5 years. I loved my coworkers but it wasn’t making me truly happy and I was not passionate about the products I was trying to help sell. Very blessed to accomplish this goal already. Going to keep pursing happiness and not staying complacent this year.
5. What does it mean to you to Compete Every Day?
It means to get up and kick the day in the face. We are not meant to just get by but to work towards what we want that makes us happy and feel alive.
6. What is one obstacle you’re proud you’ve overcome?
Playing soccer for the Women’s Mexican National team without knowing how to speak Spanish very well. I had to have a teammate that was fluent in both Spanish and English translate for me to get through the practices. Probably the hardest thing I have ever done but so proud and thankful I went for it.
7. What/who do you compete for?
I compete for my family. I want to make an impact on them and show them they can live a healthy but fun lifestyle.
