It means getting up every day believing I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. It means pushing harder than I did the day before and even when I’m tired going the extra mile.

I am a 37 year old wife, mother of 2 boys ages 15 & 12 and athlete….I have a true passion for fitness and am always looking for new adventures and challenges.  I have ran 3 marathons, completed 2 triathlons, competed in a bikini competition, and now love to compete in Crossfit.

2. What’s a typical day look like for you?

A typical day for me begins with getting my boys up and to school and then I head to work at our local hospital as a medical records clerk (been there for 18 years). Once done there I head to the gym and get my workout in either before or after I pick up my boys from school…Then head to any activities the boys may have….

3. What’s one goal you’re currently pursuing outside of fitness?

One goal outside of fitness I have is to work on finding complete happiness in my life….I have been thrown a lot of obstacles within the last year and a half and working towards my marriage and relationships is a big goal.

4. What’s one goal you’re competing to achieve by the end of this year?

A dang bar muscle up! It will be the death of me!

5. What does it mean to you to Compete Every Day?

To compete every day means me being my own competition pushing past my own limitations. It means getting up every day believing I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. It means pushing harder than I did the day before and even when I’m tired going the extra mile….It also means being mentally strong when I’m feeling weak.

6. What is one obstacle you’re proud you’ve overcome?

One obstacle I am proud of overcoming are my issues with food…I have always lived in an anorexic mindset and had and unhealthy relationship with food. Through therapy and training for my bikini competition I learned how to battle this issue and learn a lot about nutrition…I now have a healthy relationship with food and finally for the first time in my life love the skin I am in

6. What/who do you compete for?

I compete because it pushes me harder than I would ever push myself….I love to see how far I can push my body and I love to show my kids that if you want something bad enough, anything is possible!! You can achieve what you believe!
